STRAWBERRY CRUMBLE

Strawberry crumble is a vibrant dessert that is bursting with fresh juicy strawberries. Also, it is topped with a perfectly crispy and golden brown oat crumble.

Ingredients

For The Strawberries

  • 1 cup fresh chopped strawberries
  • 1/2 teaspoon sweetener of choice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

For The Crumble Topping

  • 1/4 cup quick oats
  • 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon sweetener of choice
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 teaspoons light butter cut into small pieces

Instructions

  • Cut the strawberries into small pieces. Then, mix the strawberries, sweetener, cornstarch, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and vanilla extract together in a bowl.
  • Cut the butter into small pieces. Then, combine the quick oats, all-purpose flour, sweetener, cinnamon, salt, and butter in a separate bowl. Use your hands or a fork to combine these ingredients.
  • Pour the strawberry mixture into an oven-safe ramekin and then add the crumble on top. Place the ramekin on a sheet pan and bake the strawberry crumble at 350℉ for 24-26 minutes. Once done, let the ramekin cool and enjoy the strawberry crumble warm!

Notes

  • Sweetener: Use your sweetener of choice. Brown sugar, honey, maple syrup, or a sugar-free sweetener all work.
  • Oats: It's best to use quick oats for the crumble topping because they are smaller than rolled oats and cook faster. If you don’t have quick oats, lightly pulse rolled oats in a food processor.
  • Butter: Cut the butter into small pieces so the crumble comes together easily.
