- 2-3 cheeses, at least one soft cheese, and one hard cheese
- 2-3 cured meats, salami, prosciutto, or your favorite sliced deli meat
- 1-2 fresh vegetables sliced
- 1 dip, such as hummus
- 1 fresh fruit, such as grapes or sliced apples
- 1 tablespoon dried fruit, such as dried cranberries
- 2 tablespoons nuts, such as candied pecans or walnuts
- 2 tablespoons fresh jam or honey
- 3 sprigs of fresh herbs, such as rosemary or thyme
- 1 small baguette or crackers
Pick the small board you will be using.
Place the various cheeses in different sections of the board. Pick one cow’s milk cheese, and one goat’s milk or sheep’s milk cheese. With this in mind, pick one soft cheese and one hard cheese.
Place the sliced vegetables, dips, and nuts in individual small bowls. Then, place the bowls throughout the board.
Roll the cured meat into individual bite-sized servings and arrange them on the board.
Fill in the board with the fresh and dried fruit. Also, add the nuts and jam or honey to the board in individual small bowls. After all components are on the board, garnish with fresh herbs. Serve this charcuterie board with crackers or toasted bread.
- Storage: If you have any leftover cheese, you can tightly wrap it in plastic wrap and store it in the refrigerator to enjoy again later.
