NINJA CREAMI S'MORES PROTEIN ICE CREAM

Creamy high-protein Ninja Creami s’mores protein ice cream made with cottage cheese, graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows. No campfire needed!

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 chocolate protein shake (10-11 ounces)
  • 2 teaspoons Dutch-processed cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup cottage cheese fat-free, low-fat, or full-fat
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tablespoons mini marshmallows
  • 2 graham cracker squares crushed
  • 1-2 teaspoons mini chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate

Instructions

  • Add the chocolate protein shake, cocoa powder, cottage cheese, and vanilla extract to a large high-powered blender.
  • Thoroughly blend the mixture until completely smooth and creamy. Then, pour it into a Ninja Creami pint container.
  • To help prevent peaks, place a lid that fits inside the container to create a flat, even surface. Then, place the lid on the pint container and freeze it overnight.
  • Once frozen, remove both lids. Place the pint container into the Ninja Creami machine and lock it in with the outer lid secured properly. Spin it on the “Lite Ice Cream” setting.
  • After the first spin, the mixture may look crumbly or powdery. This is completely normal. Add a splash of almond milk or your milk of choice and spin again on the “Lite Ice Cream” setting. If needed, you can spin it a third time for a creamier texture.
  • Create a well in the center of your ice cream and use the “Mix-In” setting to blend in the mini marshmallows, crushed graham crackers, and mini chocolate chips. Or, simply sprinkle them on top before serving and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make the Protein Shake: If you don’t have a pre-mixed protein shake, blend 10 ounces of almond milk or any milk of your choice with one scoop of chocolate protein powder.
  • Extra Creaminess: As an option, for an even creamier texture, add a bit of instant pudding mix. Use one tablespoon of chocolate instant pudding mix or one teaspoon of sugar-free chocolate instant pudding mix.
  • Smooth Surface: After pouring the mixture into the Ninja Creami pint container, place a lid that fits inside the container to create a flat, even surface. This helps prevent peaks and makes for smoother spinning.
