- 1.75 ounce chocolate bar
- 1/2 ounce dried cherries
- 1/2 ounce raw almonds
Start by chopping the almonds and cherries into small pieces. Then, finely chop the chocolate bar so it melts quickly and evenly.
Fill a saucepan with 1-2 inches of water and bring it to a boil on the stove. Then, put a heat-resistant bowl on top of the saucepan with boiling water and reduce it to a simmer.
Pour the chopped chocolate into the heat-resistant bowl and mix. Mix the chocolate the entire time so it doesn't burn. Also, make sure not to get any water in the chocolate because that would cause it to seize. Remove the bowl from the stove when there are a few chunks of chocolate left so you don't burn the chocolate.
Put the bowl on a towel to absorb any moisture. Then, finish stirring the chocolate in the bowl. After that, add the chopped cherries and almonds to the bowl and thoroughly mix them with the chocolate.
Put a piece of parchment paper on top of a sheet pan. Then, pour the chocolate onto the parchment paper. Make sure to get all of the delicious chocolate out of the bowl and on the parchment paper. Spread out and flatten the chocolate on the parchment paper with a spatula. Optional: Add some finishing sea salt to the chocolate bar. It is a great addition if you like sea salt!
Let the chocolate cool on the parchment paper for an hour at room temperature. Or, place it on parchment paper in a sealed container and put it in the refrigerator for 10-20 minutes. Also, you could put the melted chocolate in the freezer for 5-10 minutes if you want it to harden quickly. Once the chocolate is hardened, take it off the parchment paper and cut it into 8 pieces. Enjoy!
- Melt Chocolate: Finely chop the chocolate bar so it melts quickly and evenly.
