Ingredients

  • bacon slices
  • turkey bacon slices optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400℉. Then, grab a sheet pan large enough to fit all of the bacon you plan on cooking. Next, line the sheet pan with a piece of parchment paper. Or, you can use a sheet pan with tinfoil and a baking rack. Both work great and make for easy clean-up!
  • Place the bacon on the parchment paper or baking rack with tinfoil underneath on the sheet pan. Make sure to cover all of the sheet pan with parchment paper for easy clean-up later!
  • Once the bacon is on the sheet pan, place it in the oven on the middle rack. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 400℉ depending on desired crispness.
  • Once your bacon is done carefully take it out of the oven. Get a plate or baking rack with a few pieces of paper towels over top. Use tongs to remove the bacon from the sheet pan and onto the paper towel. This will help to absorb any extra grease.
  • Once the sheet pan that you cooked the bacon in has cooled and the grease has settled you can take the parchment paper or tinfoil and wrap it up to go in the trash! Never throw the bacon grease down the sink as it is very bad for the drain and can cause problems. Always dispose of the grease in the trash once it has cooled. Or, you can save the bacon grease for later in a heat-resistant container. It adds flavor to so many dishes!
