Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1/2 cup cottage cheese fat-free, low-fat, or full-fat
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (about 2 tablespoons)
  • 1 teaspoon honey or sweetener of choice optional
  • 1 tablespoon of ground flax seeds or chia seeds optional

Instructions

  • Add the milk, cottage cheese, frozen strawberries, vanilla protein powder, optional sweetener, and optional ground flax or chia seeds to a blender.
  • Thoroughly blend the ingredients until smooth and creamy.
  • Pour the smoothie into a glass, and enjoy!

  • Cottage Cheese Options: Any cottage cheese will work in this recipe, whether it’s fat-free, low-fat, or full-fat.
  • Milk Options: We used unsweetened vanilla almond milk in this recipe. Some other options are oat milk, cashew milk, 1% milk, 2% milk, non-fat milk, or your milk of choice.
  • High-Fiber Option: For extra fiber, add one tablespoon of ground flax or chia seeds to your smoothie.
  • Frozen Strawberries Swap: You can swap the frozen strawberries with one cup of frozen blueberries, raspberries, mixed berries, or your favorite frozen fruit.
  • Sweetener: Taste your smoothie and, if needed, add 1-3 teaspoons of honey or your preferred sweetener for extra sweetness.
