Servings: 1 serving
- 1 ⅓ tablespoon freshly grated parmesan cheese
- red pepper flakes or basil optional
Start by preheating your oven to 400℉. If you are using fresh parmesan, grate it to the consistency you would like. Then, get a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat. A silicone baking mat works best, but if you don't have one parchment paper will also work. Place the freshly grated or pre-shredded cheese on the mat or parchment paper and spread and flatten it out. Use 1 1/3 tablespoons of cheese for each cheese crisp.
Bake the cheese crisps in the oven at 400℉ for 3-5 minutes. Make sure to keep an eye on them so they don't burn.
Let the cheese crisps cool and remove them from the baking sheet. You can place them on a paper towel to absorb some of the oil after you remove them from the baking sheet. If you'd like spicy parmesan crisps, feel free to add some red pepper flakes on top! Top these cheese crisps on your favorite dishes or enjoy them as a crunchy and delicious snack!
- Spicy: For spicy parmesan crisps add red pepper flakes.
