Shawna’s Expert Tips

  • Sweeten to Taste: We like adding about one tablespoon of maple syrup, but it’s totally up to you. Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness to your liking, or skip it altogether.
  • Blend Thoroughly: Make sure to blend well for a smooth and creamy texture.
  • Texture: If it’s not thick enough after blending, pop the frozen yogurt in the freezer before serving.

Ninja Creami Strawberry Frozen Yogurt

For an even creamier texture, you can make this strawberry frozen yogurt in the Ninja Creami! To do this, transfer the blended mixture to a Ninja Creami pint container. After that, place the lid on the container and freeze it overnight.

Then, use the Ninja Creami machine to spin the frozen yogurt. The mixture may appear powdery after the first spin, this is normal. For the creamiest results, we recommend adding a splash of milk and re-spinning the mixture.

Serving Suggestions

This high-protein strawberry frozen yogurt is delicious on its own, but adding toppings takes it to the next level! Try fresh berries, chopped strawberries, or a handful of granola for crunch. A sprinkle of coconut flakes or mini chocolate chips adds texture and flavor, while a drizzle of honey, chocolate syrup, or melted dark chocolate gives it a decadent touch. You can also top it with crushed nuts, peanut butter, almond butter, crushed graham crackers, or even a spoonful of homemade strawberry chia jam.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I Need a Ninja Creami to Make This?

Nope! You can enjoy it straight after blending. But if you have a Ninja Creami, we include how to use it for an even creamier texture.

Can I Use Fresh Fruit Instead of Frozen?

Frozen fruit works best to give the frozen yogurt its thick and creamy texture. If you’re using fresh strawberries, either cut and freeze them ahead of time or blend the mixture and then place it in the freezer until it firms up to your desired consistency.

the strawberry frozen yogurt looked so good. I had to try it. Well I’m not a fan of protein powder and I could taste it. I had to try it to know.

Hi Mary, thank you so much for giving the strawberry frozen yogurt a try! I’m sorry to hear you could taste the protein powder. If you decide to make it again, you can definitely omit the protein powder, it will still be protein-packed from the Greek yogurt alone. Or, you can try adding a little extra sweetener to help balance out that flavor. I really appreciate you sharing your experience!
