DOUBLE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES AMAZING AND HEALTHY
Chocolate is one of my favorite treats and I absolutely love these double chocolate chip cookies. They're decadent and filled with rich chocolate flavor! Also, the mini chocolate chips give a burst of chocolate flavor in every bite. They have a nice, soft texture, amazing chocolate flavor, and I have lightened them up!

Keyword: chocolate cookies, double chocolate chip cookies, double chocolate cookies
Servings: 35 cookies
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup sugar or monk fruit
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons regular butter or light butter
- 1/4 cup applesauce with no added sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 36 grams mini chocolate chips
Sift the dry ingredients (flour, cocoa powder, and baking soda). Mix all of the dry ingredients together.
Add the monk fruit or sugar, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt to the bowl. Thoroughly mix all of the ingredients.
In another large bowl add the room-temperature butter and egg. Then, add the applesauce and vanilla to the bowl.
I recommend using an electric hand mixer to mix the ingredients. Mix the wet ingredients and then add the dry ingredients a little at a time. Continue to mix and then add the rest of the dry ingredients. Mix until all of the ingredients are combined.
Scoop out the batter and combine the ingredients with a spatula to make sure everything is combined. After that, fold in the chocolate chips.
Begin scooping the cookie dough onto a silicone baking mat or parchment paper. I like to use a melon bar scooper so that the cookies all come out the same size. Bake at 350℉ for 8 to 10 minutes and enjoy!
- Chocolate Chips: For a burst of chocolate flavor in each bite.
