CHICKEN AND GRAVY IN THE CROCKPOT

- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup diced sweet onion
- 8 ounces cremini mushrooms
- 2 cups gravy
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/8 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/8 teaspoon dried sage
- 1/8 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 bay leaf
Dice the onion and slice the mushrooms.
Season both sides of the chicken with salt and pepper.
Add the seasoned chicken to your slow cooker. Then, add the diced onion, sliced mushrooms, gravy, garlic powder, thyme, sage, rosemary, and bay leaf to the slow cooker.
Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until the chicken is fully cooked. It is fully cooked when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. Once done, remove the bay leaf, serve on plates, and enjoy! If you prefer, you can shred the fully cooked chicken.
- Storage: Store leftover fully cooked chicken and gravy in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
- Gravy: Use your favorite store-bought gravy or make our homemade chicken gravy!
