CHICKEN AND GRAVY IN THE CROCKPOT

Chicken and gravy is such a delicious combination, made effortlessly in the Crockpot! This recipe is so easy to make and has so much flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup diced sweet onion
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms
  • 2 cups gravy
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/8 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1/8 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 bay leaf

Instructions

  • Dice the onion and slice the mushrooms.
  • Season both sides of the chicken with salt and pepper.
  • Add the seasoned chicken to your slow cooker. Then, add the diced onion, sliced mushrooms, gravy, garlic powder, thyme, sage, rosemary, and bay leaf to the slow cooker.
  • Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until the chicken is fully cooked. It is fully cooked when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. Once done, remove the bay leaf, serve on plates, and enjoy! If you prefer, you can shred the fully cooked chicken.

  • Storage: Store leftover fully cooked chicken and gravy in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
  • Gravy: Use your favorite store-bought gravy or make our homemade chicken gravy!
