Ingredients

  • 1 medium ripe banana
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk or milk of choice
  • 1/4 cup 0-fat plain Greek yogurt or whipped cottage cheese
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup, honey, or sweetener of choice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1-2 teaspoons chia seeds optional
  • 1 tablespoon chopped walnuts optional

Instructions

  • Peel the medium-sized ripe banana and add it to the airtight jar you will be using. Then, use a fork to mash the banana in the jar.
  • Add the rolled oats, milk, 0-fat Greek yogurt, sweetener, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and chia seeds to the jar.
  • Thoroughly mix the ingredients in the jar. Then, secure the lid on the jar and place the overnight oats in the refrigerator.
  • Refrigerate overnight. When ready to eat, top with chopped walnuts or your favorite optional toppings and enjoy!
