- 1 medium ripe banana
- 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1/3 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk or milk of choice
- 1/4 cup 0-fat plain Greek yogurt or whipped cottage cheese
- 2 teaspoons maple syrup, honey, or sweetener of choice
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch of nutmeg
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1-2 teaspoons chia seeds optional
- 1 tablespoon chopped walnuts optional
Peel the medium-sized ripe banana and add it to the airtight jar you will be using. Then, use a fork to mash the banana in the jar.
Add the rolled oats, milk, 0-fat Greek yogurt, sweetener, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and chia seeds to the jar.
Thoroughly mix the ingredients in the jar. Then, secure the lid on the jar and place the overnight oats in the refrigerator.
Refrigerate overnight. When ready to eat, top with chopped walnuts or your favorite optional toppings and enjoy!
