Servings: 4 servings
- 1.5 pounds fresh brussels sprouts
- 1 small red onion
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
Wash the fresh brussels sprouts and dry them. Then, cut the brussels sprouts in half lengthwise.
Slice the red onion into quarters. After that, separate the red onion pieces.
Add the brussels sprouts, red onion, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and olive oil to a large bowl. Thoroughly combine these ingredients and make sure all of the brussels sprouts are coated with the seasoning.
Add the combined ingredients in the bowl to a sheet pan with parchment paper. Separate the red onion pieces and place the brussels sprouts face side down. Roast the brussels sprouts in the oven at 400℉ for 30-40 minutes.
After the brussels sprouts are roasted, drizzle the balsamic vinegar over them, mix, and enjoy!
- Onion To Use: Red onions and sweet onions work well. You can really use any onion you like the flavor of! Or, if you don't like onions you can omit them altogether.
- Balsamic Vinegar: This balsamic brussels sprouts recipe can be made with regular balsamic vinegar or flavored balsamic vinegar. Some flavored balsamic vinegars that we love to use in this recipe are currant, cranberry, or fig.
