Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 pound carrots we used rainbow carrots
  • olive oil spray
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme (or 1/8 teaspoon dried thyme)
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup or sugar-free maple syrup

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Wash the carrots. Then, peel them and pat them dry. If your carrots are large, chop them into 3 to 4-inch pieces or carefully slice them in half lengthwise. We used small rainbow carrots and did not chop them. Then, add the carrots to a bowl.
  • Gently spray the carrots with olive oil. After that, add the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and thyme. Thoroughly mix to coat all of the carrots.
  • Once mixed and coated, add one teaspoon of the maple syrup and mix again.
  • Add the carrots to the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry the carrots at 375°F for 15-20 minutes, depending on the size of the carrots and your air fryer. Shake the basket halfway through so they cook evenly and don’t burn. The carrots are done when you can insert a fork through them. Once done, carefully remove them from the air fryer, add the remaining one teaspoon of maple syrup, and enjoy!
