HOMEMADE HUMMUS RECIPE EASY

I love this easy homemade hummus recipe! You get all of the delicious flavors without the fat and you can whip it up in minutes.

Ingredients

  • 15 ounce can of garbanzo beans
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 cloves of garlic crushed
  • 1 tablespoon tahini
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  • Drain the garbanzo beans.
  • Add the drained garbanzo beans, salt, lemon juice, crushed garlic cloves, tahini, and water to a high-powered blender or food processor. Thoroughly blend until smooth. If you would like your hummus to have a thinner consistency you can add one more tablespoon of water at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
  • Optional: Sprinkle some fresh parsley, smoked paprika, or olive oil on top.

  • Flavor Options: This homemade hummus is classic and packed with flavor from the garlic, lemon, and tahini. However, feel free to get creative and have fun with different flavor variations in your hummus. Some of our favorite ingredients to add to this recipe include roasted bell peppers, olives, jalapeños, or a dash of sriracha.
  • Storage: Store leftover hummus in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days.
