HIGH-PROTEIN STRAWBERRY MOUSSE

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese fat-free, low-fat, or full-fat
  • 1 cup chopped fresh strawberries
  • 2 teaspoons sugar or sugar substitute
  • 1/3 cup of your favorite whipped topping such as CocoWhip, TruWhip, or fat-free Cool Whip

Instructions

  • Wash and dry the fresh strawberries. Then, remove the stems.
  • Add the cottage cheese, chopped fresh strawberries, and sweetener to a blender or food processor.
  • Blend the ingredients until smooth. Then, transfer the mixture to a bowl.
  • Add the whipped topping to the bowl and lightly fold it in until incorporated.
  • Place the mixture in two containers and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight to set. Then, serve and enjoy!

  • Cottage Cheese To Use: You can use fat-free, low-fat, or full-fat cottage cheese in this recipe!
  • Drain The Cottage Cheese: If your cottage cheese is runny or has excess liquid, it's important to drain it before using it in the recipe. Place the cottage cheese in a fine mesh strainer and let it sit over a bowl for a few minutes to remove the extra moisture. This helps ensure your mousse stays thick and creamy.
  • Defrost The Whipped Topping: Follow the directions on the package to defrost the frozen whipped topping in the refrigerator before folding it in.
  • Add More Whipped Topping: For an even fluffier strawberry mousse, feel free to fold in more whipped topping.
