HEALTHY SLOW COOKER CHICKEN PARMESAN
This slow cooker chicken parmesan is healthy and easy to make! Also, it takes less than 5 minutes to prepare! All you have to do is add the ingredients to the slow cooker and dinner is ready in about 2.5 hours!

- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
- 2 teaspoons Italian herbs
- 1 jar fat-free marinara sauce (or your favorite)
- 3 ounces lite mozzarella
- 4 tablespoons parmesan cheese
- fresh basil optional
Place the 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts in a slow cooker. Season both sides with salt, pepper, granulated garlic, and Italian herbs.
Pour one jar of fat-free marinara sauce or your favorite marinara sauce over the chicken in the slow cooker.
Cook on low for 2.5 to 3 hours or until the chicken is fully cooked, which is 165℉. Optional: You can keep the chicken breasts whole. Or, once cooked, shred the chicken with a fork. Then, add it back to the slow cooker. Both options are great!
Before removing the chicken, sprinkle the lite mozzarella and parmesan cheese on top. Put the lid back on the slow cooker to melt the cheese, which will take about 5 minutes. Top with fresh basil and enjoy!
